Over a whopping two hours, this latest instalment of catfight and wrestling action takes us not only all around the world, but right through femfight history as well.

1. Classic Boxing (17:57 mins)

Many of the clips here pre-date the era of female wrestling video companies, let alone the digital age that has brought it all to our computers in the click of a mouse.

Much of the earlier, black and white action on show here proves that the fascination with women fighting has probably been with society forever.

2. Classic Catfight (26:06 mins)

The first 70 minutes of this DVD is comprised of silent, black and white footage showing women in a variety of catfight action. Some of them wear lingerie, some of them fight nude, mostly in an apartment setting. The action – though obviously lacking the clarity and direction we have come to expect today – is full of energy and character, and it might surprise you to note how long this genre has existed. We're also treated to some vicious female boxing, now stepping into the age of colour film, followed by some very competitive and sexy bikini wrestling in oil.

3. Classic Boxing & Oil Wrestling (23:59 mins)

The latter is probably from the Seventies, and the combats involved are certainly not staged.

A highlight of Catfights Galore 9 is a mini-documentary on the Chicago Knockers, a ladies mud wrestling team from around the 1970s. This includes interviews with the girls and the fans, and includes some vivid clips of the women in action. Despite the mud, the competition here is very real indeed, as is clear from the participants' facial expressions and the keep-fit ethic they describe in the interviews.

4. Classic Catfight (35:23 mins)

The DVD also includes some catfight clips from the world of television and film, mostly from foreign language productions that you won't have seen before.
